I dont think they can go back, they had to do ALOT of work just to get rid of the old system. Ship spinning is back but there is alot of evidence they had to rebuild that from ground up code wise (luckily art assests where already available). Also there where old guns that where graphcially broken for the longest time.
What is comming back are the old icons (which i rather wished they updated the art for instead of a total convert back) becuase the new turret icons are eating more than usual in hanger bay loads. |

Yes they do, but rarely comment they rather watch the community tear up ideas from every angle possible.

Either way the cross fire does expose flaws in the idea.

I have to agree with M'nu there if they update all the ships to V3 the old turrets would look SO out of place.

Liandri Kamadachi wrote:EQ did it with legacy models, why can't Eve? They'd have to use the new hardpoints, but it should be a fairly simple addition.
The Bantam, one of the oldest ships in eve used to have armor mounting points on it. It was removed for lag reasons. Also eve artist are SWAMPED, they got four years of work ahead of them and only a year to do it all in.

I hate to break it to you but the more you bump without new content the less likely they're going to pay attention.

Not going to happen, that would require updating the older graphics again.
I rather get DX11 support Project Regeneration V4 Shading HP degregation Gun Effects Mk 5 Improved Hit effects Destiny 2.0 Enlighten Enahcned UI Dust 514 Intergration Incarna Intergration Space Envrioment Development True Tactial Overlay/View mode. (where everything on the grid is dispalyed as an icon reducing graphical wear on the card)
CCP Graphical Department is too full to continue suporting things that are no longer viable to keep updating. Cost of consumers lost vs the ones gained for better graphics are simply so mismatched its a why even bother wasting man power when the total subscription cost of those lost wouldnt even keep the guy who works on it on the job.
Your 20$ a month only keeps one guy at work for an hour a day. Now divide that amonst the half thousand working at ccp then thier cost of business and well... you're not paying enough to have old graphics back in.

Not anymore... Current guns actually atttempt adapt to the color of the ships they're attached to.

I think you have a much better argument suggesting a better graphical quality/experince on low resource clients.
